My mom asked me to take a basket weaving class with her this past Saturday at Powell Gardens. I thought it would be a cool new craft to learn, so I said heck yes! The class was full of old women and 1 guy who was going to use his basket for knitting needles....need I say more. It was a hoot!
Here's my basket progress and finished product!

Vintage turned Modern
I was recently hired by a co-worker to make her save the date postcards. She loved the vintage postcard idea and was really inspired by this Kansas City card.
She asked for me to use this idea, but make it more modern and fresh, here's what I came up with and she was elated!

Cutomized Wedding Gift
I know I have been terrible about blogging lately! Things have been crazy busy at work and CCO, my Etsy store has taken off this wedding season! I have had a lot of invitation orders and it's been AWESOME!!
I have also been working on my collage art a lot lately and trying to come up with fun new concepts....I'm going to have a show at a local gallery this summer sometime!! We are still working out the details and of course, I need time to make more great art...but I'll let you know once I have all the details ironed out.
This is one of my newest creations, a personlized piece that would be great for a wedding or anniversary gift! I also sell these at CCO, my esty store.

What a great surprise!
My husband and I took a short trip to Boston this past weekend, it’s an amazing and historical city. So many great things to do and see!! Our hotel happened to be very close to a lot of shopping, which worked out just perfectly for me since it’s one of my favorite things to do! Macy’s was having a huge sale and we decided to check it out even though we have Macy’s in KC. To cut this story short, I saw a girl walking around Macy’s in a Champion branded sweatshirt that I had designed the art for.....it just so happened to be a big project I worked on to be sold in select Macy’s stores across the country. Well, one of the stores it’s being sold in was the store in Boston we were in!! The store was a complete mess and the display was all messed up, but it was SO cool to see a whole collection of art that I had worked on being sold in such a major department store. So, here are a few pictures of the product and me being a huge dork with my thumbs up.

Love You, Mom!
I wanted to give my mom something handmade this year...after all, she is the person who I got all my talents from! She is quite the crafter herself and really inspired me to follow my heart when it comes to being creative! I know she'll love this card...and what I put inside of it. I love you Mom, I know I don't tell you often enough!

It's Egg Time!
Since I work with very creative people in an art studio, I get the pleasure of coming up with and participating in fun activities and contests. This year we are having an Easter egg decorating contest. We were provided with a small white plastic egg that we could do anything with....ANYTHING!! I scoured the Internet for ideas and got a few more just from talking with people.
I debating making a tiny football field with a goal and everything, making my egg into a football...but I thought, that's sort of a guy thing to do! So, here's what I came up with instead.....some little Mario Bros. inspired egg mushrooms! The boys helped me out and are convinced that I will win the contest!
